Design

Our approach to design is about reduction, innovation and production.

We seek to avoid visual and non-functional clutter - removing the unnecessary. This does not mean 'minimalism' or bland design, rather an attempt to get as close as possible to the purpose of something in the context of its material and production process.

We realise that innovation with materials and processes enables new and better design. Simply coming up with new shapes to follow trends is not interesting.

Production cannot be ignored during the design process. There must be a constant effort to reduce production cost and time by limiting waste and reducing complexity.

Availability of products on this site

All projects on this site are designed for production.

If no producer is shown under Availability on the project page then we are either negotiating with, or looking for, a manufacturing company.

Please email to enquire about design licencing or production.
